Reset Password

The Reset Password feature allows users to regain access to their Virtual Machine (VM) instance without needing email confirmation or extra verification steps.

With a single click, the system automatically resets the password and reboots the VM — perfect for when the current password is lost or forgotten.

How to Reset the Password​

  1. Click the "Reset Password" button
    Found in the VM Settings panel. This immediately starts the password reset process.

  2. Automatic Reset Process
    The system generates a new password and applies it to your instance — no user input is required.

  3. VM Reboot
    Your instance will automatically reboot to finalize the reset.

  4. Log In With New Password
    After the reboot, retrieve your new password from the VM dashboard or system log, then use it to log into your instance.

warning

The VM will reboot during the reset process. Please save all work or stop any active processes beforehand to avoid data loss.

When to Use​

  • You forgot the instance password
  • You're locked out of the system
  • You're rotating credentials for security compliance

This feature gives you fast recovery without needing external recovery tools.
