What is an Isolated Network?

An Isolated Network is a dedicated and scalable virtual networking environment that offers flexibility for complex application deployments. It is ideal for workloads requiring:

  • Elastic load balancing
  • Auto-scaling of network resources
  • Dynamic bandwidth allocation

This network type ensures separation from other virtual networks, providing enhanced control, security, and performance optimization for your cloud infrastructure.

Creating an Isolated Network

To create an Isolated Network in the Webberstop Cloud Portal, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the Cloud Portal.

  2. From the side navigation panel, click on Networks.

  3. In the top bar, switch to the Isolated Network tab.

  4. Click the ➕ (plus) icon on the top right to launch the Isolated Network creation wizard.

  5. Select the Project under which the network will be created.
Projects help segregate resources and manage access control.

  6. Choose the Datacenter Location
This determines where the Isolated Network will be physically hosted.

  7. Enter Network Details:

    • Name: A unique name for the network.
    • Description: Optional notes to identify the purpose or usage.
    • Gateway: The default gateway IP address for the network.
    • Netmask: Defines the subnet mask (e.g., 255.255.255.0).
  8. Review the configuration and click Create to provision the network.

Deleting an Isolated Network

To delete an existing Isolated Network:

  1. Navigate to Networks from the left-hand menu on the portal dashboard.

  2. Locate the Isolated Network you wish to remove.

  3. Click the 🗑️ trash icon next to the network.

  4. In the confirmation prompt, provide the following:

    • Reason for Deletion
    • Description (optional)
    • Type of Deletion (e.g., immediate or scheduled)
